Simple little web interface for creating characters and chatting with them. It's basically a single HTML file - no server. Share characters using a link (character data is stored within the URL itself). All chat data is stored in your browser using IndexedDB. Currently supports OpenAI APIs and ~any Hugging Face model.
All characters and chats have disappeared. I loaded a page in Google like always, went to the homepage, and they were gone. I lost probably over 100 chats spanning back to June of last year. This is Chrome browser on an Android phone (Moto G Stylus 2021, idk if that helps). It just shows me the homescreen with the default characters, no error message or anything. Just gone. I did some reading to learn where exactly the file for the chats are stored (I'm not a programmer at all) and figured my phone just cleared or overwrote it for memory reasons. I was absolutely devastated. But then I found this thread and saw there were people with similar issues, and their issues were able to be resolved. I'm trying not to be hopeful, but maybe there's a way to fix this. Thanks in advance for any feedback you can give me.
