Similar to elliptic curve in #446, towering has a perf discrepancy. Performance degrades compared to ideal given base field performance. This is a (failed) tentative to address that. Unfortunately this simple approach doesn't change perf so a more radical approach might be needed (having full fixed assembly). Still keeping the branch around as it has useful handlers for Nim vs C arrays differences that need to be accomodated in inline assembly.
